Sergio Lub Copper Mayan Magnetic Bracelet

This design is based on a Native American pattern found in the carved base of the oldest Mayan pyramid in Teotihuacan. The carving is crowned with the head of Quetzalcoatl, meaning feathered serpent, or flying reptile.

Materials include:

Pure Copper - the red/pink-ish metal found in many of Sergio Lub's bracelets

Jewelers' Brass - the golden metal used is an alloy (mixture of metals) containing approximately 85% pure copper and 15% zinc

German Silver - the primary while metal used in the Sergio Lub line. It is an allowy of 65% pure copper mixed with zinc and nickel.

About the magnets:

Chinese doctors have believed for millennia that a magnetic field, when next to the body, could markedly increase the wearer’s vital life force, known as ‘Chi’. The observed benefits were found to increase with the magnets’ proximity to acupressure points. We carefully place magnets in our bracelets near two important pressure points of the wrist.

Each Sergio Lub magnetic bracelet contains two powerful Rare Earth Magnets; one at each bracelet tip, carefully positioned to be worn over the wrist’s pressure points. Research has shown that magnetic fields influence biological systems and are believed to attract and repel charged particles in the bloodstream increasing circulation, stimulating tissue regeneration and reducing pain. In 1954, Dr. Linus Pauling received a Nobel Prize for his discovery of the magnetic properties of hemoglobin. Pauling found that iron and many electrolytic salts in our blood, circulate bio-magnetically. Therefore, the proximity of a magnetic field may result in an acceleration of circulation, and the transfer of energy to all areas of the body.
